Meet the Doctor

The Beginning... 

Dr. Rob Elder started as a pre-med student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and worked as a clinical researcher on the human genome project after graduation. A competitive bodybuilder from 1982 to 1994, he suffered a debilitating shoulder injury and was saved from surgery through chiropractic. He then made a career switch, attending the nationally recognized Logan College of Chiropractic. After graduating in 1990, he immediately established a private practice in St. Louis.

When 'Good Enough Isn't Good Enough'...

 Not willing to settle for 'average' care for his patients, Dr. Elder began studying Chiropractic BioPhysics (the most researched and published technique in the field of chiropractic) in 1996 and earned a Distinguished Fellow certification in 2006.

 As one of two chiropractors in St. Louis to hold this certification, his practice focuses on not just pain control, but correcting posture and the cause of the pain, monitoring progress with objective tests such as PosturePro digital posture assessment, and post radiographic studies. Most patients that have been to other chiropractors are amazed at the thoroughness of the exam and care regimen, which leads to outstanding results. He also receives referrals from his fellow chiropractors whose patients need postural correction.

 Dr. Elder also addresses improper foot mechanics which will affect the rest of the body system utilizing state-of-the-art computerized motion/function technology with the GaitScan biomechanical analyzer. Upon analysis, if there are any abnormalities with foot function, a truly custom orthotic is made to enhance whole body function at a fraction of the price of other competitor's so-called 'custom' orthotics.

Helping Patients Through Nutrition....

 The most recent pursuit for patient care excellence involves discovering underlying nutritional deficiencies utilizing Nutrition Response Testing, an advanced form of nutritional analysis utilizing non-invasive muscle testing. Specific nutritional supplementation using Standard Process products delivers consistent positive results!

Dr. Elder holds an Advanced Clinical Masters certification in Nutrition Response Testing, and also acts as an instructor to help other doctors learn this remarkable technique.
